At Broadmayne you have a choice of whether to send your child in with a packed lunch, or to order a packed lunch via our school lunch provider, Local Food Links.
Regardless of your choice, all children eat together in their classes. The school operates a two sittings routine, in order to fit all the children in. Key Stage 1 and reception children eat first, followed by the Key Stage Two children.
The children all eat in the hall together. We make every effort to positively encourage your child to eat their food, and we will let you know via text if they haven't eaten very much, or if they don't like something they have been served.
School lunches are supplied by Local Food Links, an award-winning Dorset based social enterprise that has been making nutritious school meals since 2006. Meals for pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are free and some pupils in Years 3+ may be entitled to means tested free school meals. Meals must be ordered 7 days in advance. If your child has allergies or special dietary requirements please contact barry.dovell@localfoodlinks.org.uk.
As a school we ask that children are provided with a packed lunch that supports their healthy development, with no fizzy drinks. Due to some of our pupils having severe allergies, we operate as a nut free school as far as possible.
